Game by Rosalba Marchetti, Diego Latora, Edoardo Fogli
From 7 years

Description of the game

The game is made up of 4 tests, the four Labors of Hercules. The scored obtained in each test is summed up to establish the ranking of the grand slam. To devise individual or group strategies in order to complete each round and accumulate as many points as possible. In the third test: two groups, one representing the monstrous birds of Lake Stymphalia, the other representing Hercules; in the middle of the play area is the lake where the birds live among the reeds, while the Hercules-children stand outside the area. The teacher-goddess Athena starts the game by banging on a drum or putting on some music. The frightened birds start to move around the lake. Now the Hercules-children, with their poisoned arrow balls (with the blood of the Hydra), must hit the birds. One point for each bird hit. When the drum beats slowly, the birds curl up and cannot be hit. After a set time, the children swap roles. Before starting the game, children decide how to retrieve their poisoned arrow balls.
